The Yellow Tail Kingfish ‘pancetta’ with lemon oil is still one of the most exquisite dishes in Melbourne. Paper thin slices of lemony kingfish melt in the mouth all too quickly, leaving you with the thought, ‘can I lick my plate in public?’. Chef Matt McConnell’s Mediterranean inspired peasant food is designed to share with friends and is beautifully complimented by Simon Benjamin’s ripper wines. The tiny bar is forever vibrating with good cheer and laughter, as patrons squeeze together on stools and chairs, united by the promise of fine food and wine.
Lunch specials are spectacular: slow roasted lamb shoulder Mondays, bistecca Tuesdays, paella Wednesdays, goat Thursdays, fishy Fridays. Bookings essential.
This is the ultimate bar with benefits. Also great for a Lovely Lunch.

How much? Approx $15 for a small sharing plate (remember the Sharing Dish Cost Creep is at play here)
