Chef Frank Camorra’s latest outpost, Movida Terraza is a bright, colourful terrace cafe serving exquisite Spanish food from breakfast till beer o’clock. The beautiful Supreme Court dome provides a lovely backdrop for this laid back little joint, as you sit in the sun and meander through the menu and wine list. Lunch changes daily, but will generally include tortilla and crunchy boccadilos (baguettes). The dinner menu is a simple tapas style arrangement including Jamon Serrano, fried silky croquettes with leek and gooey cheese innards and crispy fried potatoes with spicy Brava sauce. The exceptional Spanish wine and beer menu will take the edge off the corporate suit invasion which occurs daily around 5pm.
Movida Terraza is also great if you’re Hungover & Hungry. Breakfast hits include a bocadillio with chorizo, black pudding and fried egg. Beautiful pastries are baked daily and run out the door with accompanying lattes.
Must try: Croqueta x 6 (it is rude to order anything less than 6 deep fried balls of cheese, so say I)
How much? $6-$12 (remember the Sharing Dish Cost Creep is at play here)
